How this rate is set

This is the closing benchmark of the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA) for pure (24-karat) gold and for silver, and it changes every working day. It excludes making charges, and jewellers' own buying and selling rates differ by city and shop.

On 22 October 2026, 24K gold was Rs 431,536 a tola and Rs 369,972 per 10 grams. The tola rate is down Rs 3,000 from Rs 434,536 on 21 October 2026. A tola is about 11.66 grams, which is why the 10-gram rate is lower. In 22K jewellery the gold is worth 22/24 of the 24K rate, before making charges.

To value your own jewellery, enter the weight (tola, gram, masha or ratti), the karat, any making charges and the buy-back deduction in the gold calculator. The zakat calculator checks nisab against these same gold and silver rates. For the background, read gold prices explained and how to calculate zakat.
